Inconsistent wheel gap

I just started to notice uneven wheel gap in the rear of my '03 sedan. The wheel gap is lower on the driver side than on the passenger side. I also have noticed that whenever I make any sharp turns (left or right), I hear a squeaking noise in the rear. I'm sure one or more of the rear suspension components need replacing, but which ones? Spring, shock, or both? If I do need replacement, do you think it may be more cost-effective if I purchase aftermarket suspension components like OEM 350Z shocks or springs, Tokico, etc.?

BTW, I'm riding on stock 17's with the factory sport suspension package. TIA

first thing first. Have it checked by the dealer and document your concerns if you're still under warranty. Are you the original owner? if not, find out if any suspension work was done prior to you driving it. The other thing is, what is the difference in the height side to side? Post more info so we can get an idea of what you're talking about.

I noticed that too. The dealer put it up on the hoist, didn't see anything wrong. When he put it back down there was only 1/4 of an inch difference. Not worth fixing to me. I notice that it just depends on the last turn you made before you park it. It seems to have some resistance so it doesn't level out unless it's moving around. Does that make sense?

Completely normal if it's within 1/4". No car has consistent gaps at opposite corners.

I bought the G35 three weeks ago from another private seller. The car currently has around 42,400 miles, so it is still under basic factory warranty. I just called up the dealer, and the service writer said that suspension work is covered under this warranty. I have an appointment on 10/12 to bring the car in to get it checked out (and there will be a loaner waiting for me).

Two weeks ago I took the car in to the same dealer for some warranty work like the CD changer problem, pass. window regulator not working, and exhaust leak, as well as a fuel hose recall. Of course all of this was done at no charge , so we'll see what happens with this next visit.
