When I got my 03.5 Sedan they did not have one with a spoiler mounted on the model I wanted in stock. No biggie, they can just install one right? I wish I had thought of the rear window brake light at the time because having both lights on just looks plain stupid. Easy enough to remedy, just disconnect the rear window light.
Problem is, the LEDs on this spoiler are not nearly as bright as the OEM spoiler. They are much darker. Only matters in the daylight, but still, I don't know why they would substitute a spoiler from a mfr. that does not put the same kind of lights in. After taking it in to the dealer to talk about it, their installer said "that is how this manufacturer makes them" -- and I learned they did not use Infiniti parts. This ticked me off as I bought the spoiler new when I first purchased the car.
So questions: has anyone else had a spoiler installed non-factory at the dealer, and do you notice the same lack of intensity on its lights? Also, do you think this is worth calling ICA to see if anything can be done? Not the biggest problem in the world, but figured I would ask.
Edit: I think with the factory spoiler, if you apply the brake and look at the car from the rear, all the lights will look "the same". With my spoiler, the lights on it are noticeably not as bright as the regular brake lights.

I also installed an after market spoiler. Same thing. The LED light is not as bright as the factory one though I paid less than half installed :-). So long as it passes through inspection, who cares?
I installed a non oem rear wing and the lights are not as bright but the LED taillights make up for it.

I had my spoiler installed after I purchased the car I paid the extra $$ for an OEM spoiler because in the past I had the same issues with aftermarket spoilers. Basically you get what you pay for. You can switch out the LED housing for a clear LED assembly though...
