2006 Sedan not prewired for Sirius???

I had my Sirius all ready to install this past weekend and when I went to install it, I could not find the prewired bracket in the trunk. I bought the Sirius unit and antenna from Grubbs.
Am I missing something?? Are the directions different for a 2006?
I'm thinking about just taking it to best buy unless anyone has any ideas.

Thanks in advance

It is in the trunk under the carpet behind the rear seat towards the passenger side.

Hmm, under the dash or rear seat?
Anyone else try this on an 06?

I guess I can try both places this weekend.

I removed the spare tire and carpet and looked behind the drivers side seat but now that I think about it I didn't look behind the passenger side.

Thanks guys, anyone else run into this?

It depends on your VIN number. Somewhere during 03.5, they started pre-wiring. Before that, they did not put the wire there so you have to buy the wiring harness as well. I think Grubbs lists the VIN numbers that are pre-wired. You can just check yourself also. In the trunk, on the passenger side behind the rear seat. You should be able to find the wire close to the bottom of the trunk (if it's there).

I have an 06, the harness is above the trunk, near the speakers, on the other side of the package shelf, right side as your looking into the trunk. You need to remove the liner at the top of the trunk, that part was a pita.

Thanks I'm going to give it another shot this weekend and see if I can find it.

Location of prewire sat radio

The sat. radio pre wire in the'06 sedan is located in the trunk on the passenger side. You will need to undo all the plastic rivets on the top portion of the inside of the trunk; you also need to take out the trunk lining on the right rear (passenger) side. You will see the Bose Amp, FM radio tuner, speakers all on under this trunk lining. I would visit the site below to download the instruction manual.

I just bought my gf the Sirius Satellite kit for her 2006 sedan (receiver/display, antenna etc). Hers does not have Navi. I didnt even know her 06 was pre-wired for Sat radio.

Is it hard to install? Or should I take it to the dealership or a good audio place?

Whoa after looking at the intructions i'll just take it in to get it done haha..

Soo..

If your car is pre-wired for Satellite radio, when you press the RADIO button on the stereo, it should roll thru FM1, FM2 and then there should be SAT ?

Is that correct?

OK - if the car is not prewired for Sat (no SAT option when pressing Radio button sequence), I assume this part (AAI-NIS2) listed here: http://www.pac-audio.com/products/pr...iliary%20Input would not work.

Is there another means to do a direct connect of an aftermarket SAT radio to the OEM HU or are we forced to use an FM tansmitter?
