Does your dash warn you when the trunk is opened?
Hello all...
Haven't been too active lately on the board. Hope everyone is doing well. Lately, I noticed either I pressed it by accident or something is up with the trunk. I walked out from the car a couple times and realized the trunk was opened. However, I don't have any warning lights on the dash when the trunk is opened. Never recall ever seeing a warning light for opened trunk. I don't have the premium package though. I am just a bit surprised. My 14 yr old accord has a warning when the trunk is opened.
Also, noticed the rear is creaking (compression rod from reading forum) and some noise from the roof when going uphill or downhill on a turn. Anyone had long term fixes for them? Some of the threads I've read had the issue fixed just to have it come back later on...
Thanks!!!

There is no warning light for an opened trunk on mine, just the one for an opened door. My G has the sport suspension package (i.e. every option except navigation).
I recently took my car in to the dealer for squeaks in the rear suspension, and they found out that the rear sway bar links were loose and rusted. They are replaced under factory warranty, and now, no more squeaking. Best to avoid bumpy roads from now on to keep these parts last longer.

Hmmm...I'll probably mention the noise on my next oil change/yearly inspection coming up in December. Thanks!
I did mention the squeaks a while back but they took it for a spin and said the usual (the technician couldn't duplicate the issue, etc...same BS stuff)

Also, the trunk opens such a small gap that unless you walk over and check, chances are you won't know it was opened.

I just noticed this in the morning .. squeaking. Thanks for the heads up about getting it covered under warranty!
