Thats right its rare! I have only seen a few myself in the Big Apple. In the year that I have had mine I have seen a total of 3.

to me..the green G35, it looks like a x-mas tree to me.. especially from the back... green with red tail lights? go figure ! TB baby... thats the nicest color on G..just my 2 cents

03, twilight blue (not a special color anymore!! that sucks!!) prem, HID, too bad didnt get sports suspension and navi !!!

 

They only produce 1% of them in green. Why? Because they don't sell. When I was looking to buy, the only used ones I could find were green. Why? Because no one wanted them. Why? Because its an ugly peutrid color that noone likes. Kinda like the yellow they put on 3000gt that had some green instead of red in it or the olive drab mustangs of the 60s or the occasional lipstick purple car that burns your eyeballs as it drives by. If it was a nice dark hunter green, it would sell like hotcakes. I wanted the FX45 copper metallic color and dark earth leather interiror color. That would be hot. TW blue is nice. I'll stick to my simple common black thank you.

Well, if you haven't seen one in person, must be a little hard to form an opinion, eh? I have one (2003.5), and I think it's a really cool color. Isn't that all that really matters? It has a nice deep metallic shine to it, and there are very few around.

 

I think it's a great color. I have only seen a few of them. For me I don't like dark colors as they show dust really bad. That's why I went with silver just like the other 57,568, 901 owners out there with silver cars

I too went with silver, it looks good with the graphite interior, and mine also has the factory chrome wheels, besides, I have had enough of dark colored vehicles showing the dirt, my Mustang GT was Laser Red, showed every speck of dust!

To each his own, silver in my opinion is boring and played out. I almost bought Silver but it doesn't stand out from the crowd enought

Twilight Blue is cool but is just as bad as black with swirls, scratches and dirt. The green doesn't show dirt that bad, but then again my car is never dirty.

About the Christmas tree thing, I see your point, but red tailights look bad on ALL cars except for red cars.

I would change them to some nice clear ones if they ever come out.

To 92TripleBlack: I appreciate your brilliant insight into color theory, however Black is not even a color at all. It's just a big dirt ball waiting the smallest dust particle to create nasty spiderwebbing and scratches. I have had a black vehicle before, and never will again.

Actually Black is all colors mixed into one. Black looks beautiful when new and like $hit after two years.

White is the absence of color.

Mettalic silver is just a bunch of silver particle mixed with a clear.

Hey shodog, actually if Black is maintained it can still look pretty good. We still have our 92 Nissan Sentra, its our weekend "Hoopdee aka bucket". About 3 weeks ago I put 3 coats of wax on it to protect for the winter and brother my neighbor walked across the street and asked me did I get a paint job. I have to say that comment made me feel proud.

Wax really does proserve a car's finish. The Sentra has 150K miles on it and starts right up and is still looking pretty good.

Dknibb, I agree if you take care of a paint job it will last. It's just that black is a lot harder to maintain than any other color. a couple of weekends ago I zaino'ed my white '94 SHO. it turned out great. Yesterday one of my staff was going to lunch with some friends and I. As we got into the SHO, She commented that she loved my new car. I said this isn't the G35 this is my old car. We all had a laugh.

ABQ_G35 I love my silver G but I can apreciate the other colors out there. It was a tough choice for me between the Red and the silver. I bought the ssilver car as it had the body kit on it. If a Red one had a body kit on it I would have probably bought that one.

I had my eye on a Twilight Blue on the lot, then saw how dirty it looked next to a silver model, then this silver with graphite and chrome wheels caught my eye, so that is what I got, my last 3 vehicles had been Red (Cabernet Red, Torreador Red, Laser Red(Mustang)) so I was looking for a change, I really like this silver though, I think the chrome wheels make it classier looking!

I feel just the opposite. I dislike the taillights on the red G's because they just disappear into the paint and the whole rear end winds up looking like some giant red lump. I luuuuv the way the red taillights stand out on all the other colors, including your beloved green.

As to the green, in person it looked too light to me at first, but over time it has grown on me (guess that's why it's green). Zimbo's green machine looked sweet - before he mushed it all up! ; )
