That GREEN Color!
Re: That GREEN Color!
Hey Shodog
Just a FYI,
Black is the absence of all color/ light. Black objects absorb light and do not reflect wavelengths in the optical spectrum. This is why black cars are hotter than white.
White is a combination of all color. This is evident when looking at an optical spectrum of a good quality white light, all the wavelengths are visible. Ask anyone who grows plants under lights and they will tell you that having a full spectrum is important. Not that I know anyone who grows plants with lights.
Just a FYI.

Re: That GREEN Color!
Gmen, you got it partly right. Your right, Black doesn't do not reflect wavelengths in the optical spectrum. Black is the absence of light but not color. Check out this website

In the second paragraph it states, "Black and white contain an intresting paradox. With opaque mediums like paint, black is the sum of all colors, if you mix every color together you will get black. White is the absence of all color."

Re: That GREEN Color!
I think this is the reason that black cars also look 'shinier' than other colours and the reflection is more mirror-like. It's really hard to get a white car to reflect its surroundings!

Re: That GREEN Color!
One color I would LOVE to see, especially on the coupe is the dark blakc-purple color. This is a special Nissan color available only on the GTR as far as I know.

Re: That GREEN Color!
As to the green, in person it looked too light to me at first, but over time it has grown on me (guess that's why it's green). Zimbo's green machine looked sweet - before he mushed it all up! ; )
Grrrrr. I resemble that remark! Green really grew on me as well, but I do have lots of people telling me that they think my DP replacement looks better.

Re: That GREEN Color!
zimbo... your green G and its stripe along the side look (looked?) great. and your DP (desert platinum?) appears silver to me for some reason, but also very nice.

Re: That GREEN Color!
haha "pinstripe." oops, that's what i meant. i saw a garnet fire sedan and twilight blue coupe in my dealer's showroom and they both had the pinstripes. a very subtle, clean look and added a nice touch to the car.

Re: That GREEN Color!
Yes it does, the dealer here has it done to every vehicle he gets in, has the little "Infiniti" logo in it as well. They also tint the windows, and add the "clear bra" and on mine the Chrome Wheels!

In bright sunlight, you almost have to stick BS and DP side-by-side to tell them apart. The EG is a little strange for a green, but for some reason it just works on a G35.

That's good and bad, I guess. It's great that the dealer has all those options--but the bad part is that it gives him more stuff he can tack on to the price of the car. I'm assuming that's like $2500 worth of dealer installed options that probably only cost him a fraction of that.
OTOH, those chrome rimes look nice and I think tint on the G is a necessity.
