I might need to go to autozone soon to see if they can pull the error code for me. My "Service Engine Soon" light came on steady this morning.

Is it on the passenger side under the compartment ? Do I need to take any panel off to get access to the OBD connector ?

You do not need access to the ecu, just the plug. I believe they are mandated to be within a 1 meter distance of the steering wheel. It is most likely just to the left or right under the steering wheel.

 

The plug is down under the steering wheel near the hood release.

The ECU is behind the lower glove box.
