Please recomend braking solution for 04' G35 Sport Sedan
Looks as if I will be needing to replace my front rotors on my 04' Sport Sedan (Auto non Brembo) and wanted to ask the communities opinions on what I should do.
I have already had my stock rotors resurfaced @ apx 20k miles, and now I am being told by the dealership that I need to replace the front rotors (I am coming up to apx 38k miles) and need to have my rear rotors resurfaced and will probably need new pads in front and in the back.
This is all going to cost me roughly 700$, so I wanted to see what others solutions I had which hopefully would not lead to me spending 700$ in 30k miles again.
I know the stock rotors (front) have issues, so was thinking of replacing the front rotors with some other solution (kit from racingbrake.com or something similar). All opinions will be truly appreciated.
Thanks!

I wouldn't mind going with a big brake kit if I could keep the stock Sport rims on the vehicle, so would anyone have any suggestions on big brake kits that would allow me to keep the stock rims?
If you could e-mail, or PM me the links so I can look into them I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
JS

Hmm.. I just went with the DBA rotors (Stillens's Brake pros) and Hawk Pads. You can get just the slotted or both slotted and cross drilled. I picked up my set for under $600 otd. That's for all 4 xd/sl rotors and Hawk HPS pads. And with all the DIY's around it probably won't take you too long to get it done on your own (provided you have the right tools for the job).

I replaced my OEM rotors with the non-brembo brembo OEM replacements (!!?!?!) from tirerack.com - They're made by Brembo but are replacements for the non-Brembo rotors.
I used Hawk HPS pads and the combination of them both is just dandy. The pads I got locally for around $50... the Rotors were < $100 each from tirerack (the price has gone up since I got them)
Pads:

Hope that's helpful.
DIY'ing is a piece of cake. You'll need a breaker bar to loosen some pretty big/tight bolts, and a torque wrench for tightening them again ...That and about 45 minutes per side (if you're a novice)

I have the Racing Brake 4 piston 332mm front kit and the oem caliper 332mm rear kit. They will just clear the sport 17's. Great product, I have been 100% happy with mine. You could also get their oem front kit to save quite a bit of $$. If you email them they might still be offering forum members a discount.

Or you can try RacingBrake's OE Caliper upgrade kit. We get a nice discount. Nice upgrade without going all out with the larger calipers.
