I was looking into the infiniti site, and i think they took out soo many options from the standard Sedan...such as Memory system for driver's seat, steering wheel and outside mirrors S S
Auto-on/off headlights


The 03-06 sedans, didnt they gve u many standard features.....

 

Realistically, Infiniti will never sell a base model G35 so it just means that they want us to spend a bunch of money in options to get things that should be standard.

 

i have a base 05 sedan and it doesnt have memory anything or auto headlights
if anything infiniti they're only gonna be adding features
check out bmw, no thats a car with no base features

 

My 2006 has all those features except the outside mirror memory.

 

i guess this is how they keep the 07's so cheap

 

dude all that memory shyt isnt base... thats part of premium

 

i never really knew, i guess not lot of people get the base model. it sorta sucks how much they offer in the base model no wonder people get the premium version.

 

I just entered this stuff into my database the other day.

Essentially, what they've done is made a few things that used to standard options or not available (bodyside molding, CD changer, heated seats and mirrors), but have made smart key, an MP3 jack, and a trip computer standard. Wtih the values my price comparison site gives these features, the 2006 had about $125 more stuff standard. Not a big deal.

However, to get any options, including a sunroof, you need the $450 Journey Package. Which actually provides about $725 of stuff for the $450 (automatic headlights, power height/tilt for the passenger seat, CD changer, dual zone climate control, and I think the rear vents), so I wouldn't complain too much.

So, while on the one hand they are gaming the features and options to keep the base price the same as the 2006, they provide good value-for-money with the almost mandatory upgrade.
