you can't remove all badges because on the infiniti logo there are plastic pins that help hold it in place. i mean it can be removed but you would have 2 holes in your trunk.

I think people who rebadge their G's are too tied up in video game illusions of GTR fame. So little attention is paid over on this side of the pond to the run-of-the-mill Skylines, that we forget (or were not ever aware) of their existence, and that somehow, this blood line relationship ties our cars to the supercar GTR. Frankly I'm happy to have an Infiniti, and not a Nissan; I get loaner cars!

IMHO, Skyline with 350GT at the back sound more INTERESTING than Infiniti G35. Once again, too much brand identity bias here. You are getting the service and quality of Infiniti already, so why not make your car look more interesting? If you say you buy an Infiniti to drive an Infiniti, why would you modify your car? You can always buy a better car with the money you put on modifying. By modifying you are CHANGING YOUR INFINITI. Its not the same INFINITI anymore?!

I've removed infiniti and g35 - added 350GT and painted the infiniti symbol black (sedan is black) - clean and simple - I'd love to change it to nissan emblem, but I'm one of those haggelers for consistency, so to me that'd reqire something to happen in the front, then what about the interior? - and removing the clock and changing the steering wheel - changing the step in sill . . . plus the engine cover will have the infiniti symbol as well as the front seat stitching . . . oh well, i'm not that dedicated for this car

You are trying to make your car something it isn't, plus, down the road, it may make your car worth less at resale time, things like different badges, no badges, all bring questions as to whether or not the vehicle has been in an accident and not repaired properly! Just my .02 cents!

I say leave it the way it is. At first I wanted to change mine. But then I thought about what happened to me with my SHO. The Taurus SHO motor is nade by Yamaha of Japan. I put a Yamaha sticker on the back of my car. People were always asking what it meant and I would always have to explain. Eventually I removed it.
Bottom line is that people are going to think your a nerd if you have skyline on the back of your car. Eventough it really is a skyline, it's not the GT-R that everyone raves about.

You guys have too few knowledge about GT-R to talk about this. The GT-R is seperated from the Skyline since the launch of R34 GT-R. Its now called Nissan GT-R and the Skyline is our G35. So stop saying we change badges because of video games and stuff. This is not the same car as the GT-R and we are not trying to imitate one. G35 is a Skyline. GT-R is the GT-R. enuf said.

Somewhere in Japan, right this minute, someone is rebadging their Skyline GT350 into an Infiniti G35.
It's just about being different. The data does show that misbadged cars resell for less however, but if you are going to keep it forever or you just don't care, more power to ya.
