how to replace 3rd brake light (led)

Hey guys I have an early on 03 so its out of warranty even though its still under 60k miles, but my 3rd brake light stopped working and it looks like you have to remove the whole rear deck and if so how do I?

I checked the conector and its getting power so it has to be just the light

I searched and didn't find much so any help is appreciated

Kevin

Two steps to do it.

1 Pull the old one out
2 Put the new one in.

j/k

I'm still waiting on the easiest fix for this too......mine is out as well. Where is the connector? Is there a fuse that is independently for the 3rd brake light?

If you pull of the carpet panel in the trunk you can see the conector, but I didn't see any fuses for it. So I checked it with a tester and its getting power so that mean the bulb is bad.

An early 03 huh? Well, guess what. It's not 3yr 60k. It's 4yr 60k. You might still be under warranty.

If it's early 03, it was probably made in late 02', therefore his warranty is most likely just up. (as is mine). And my led is out also.

I'll try to dig and find instructions. Another good question is WHERE to get the replacement light. Dealer only?

See the FSM in the LT section (for my 2004 model, it's page LT-135).

The FSMs are available online here

The 4 years starts from the in service date, not the manufactured date.
