Question Odd tranny changing behavior

Lately I've been noticing on my 03.5 G that when I back out of my parking space first thing in the morning (to go to school or work), the car does not move for 2-3 seconds when I shift into drive, even when I press on the gas. No service light at all. This transmission stalling behavior only happens when I take the first drive out in the morning, or when I get back to my car after parked for at least 3 hrs. This does not happen when I'm stopped at a light. I've searched for answers in this forum but found nothing, so I'm thinking it may have to do with the tranny fluid needing to be changed, or something else in the transmission? Someone help me out here, thanks.

How fast do you start to move after starting the car? If immediate, maybe it isn't a problem, but I agree it may be low on transmission fluid, and should be checked soon.
