Might be time for a change.

OK guys, I am thinking about selling my Stillen kit and thought I would open it up on here for discussion first.

This is not a for sale thread, more of a topic of discussion.

The option on the table is trade up to a Greddy TT kit with a mild engine build for my kit and ~5k. This would give me at least 100whp/150tq more than I have now.

Opinions?

Sounds like you're used to your car's power and it's not enough. If you have the resources, then go for it!

That is true. With me, enough is never enough and I always want more; the Stillen does not respond well enough to a built motor so it may be time to upgrade.

Tim, how much do you think it will cost you to upgrade after selling your kit and reinvesting your money into the car? Also I'm sure for us time is never an issue when it comes to our baby G's . I think the power gain and the wider potential will be well worth it, givent that you have the funds of course. Damn here you are thinking TT, when most of us are still drooling over something like that stage 4 SC you got lol

*edited*
TTrank...is that a foresight?!?!

sounds like a good plan to me. Although just a word of advice from a former 300Z TT guy, you can never have enough power, and it was only time until I turned up the boost too much and blew the engine. I learned my lesson, as did my poketbook, so I am staying NA for a while

I agree guys, there will be extra work and risk with this upgrade but I really want to do it. I am talking to UMS tuning right now about a minor build so I can run ~10psi no prob. My goal is 450-500whp.

I know this will still never be enough but I need a goal I can afford for now. Who knows if this will even happen.

For those who my want my SC, I will start a new thread in the marketplace when the times comes. I don't want this to get deleted for being in the wrong section. This is just for discussing the pros and cons with upgrading from a stage 4 to a TT kit.

Right now I am thinking ~$4,300. That's $2k off regular price. That would include everything except for the fuel pump (~$90-100) and if the new kit comes with one I will include it.

We'll see if I can come up with the money for the other stuff and if so I'll let you guys know when it is up for sale.
