You can downshift when you want to w/ mm mode. Also it can downshift faster than you can w/ a stick.

My question is about the difference in the MM between a 2003 5AT sedan and my 2005 sedan....

The 05+ autos have a superior shift program than the 03s. The upshifts are faster, the downshifts are faster (ie.. when you step on the gas xx amount) and of course the better rev matching.
I could tell right away when I drove the 05 as a loaner.

ok so upon bringing in my 06' G35 sedan 6MT to the dealer for inspection on the clutch they gave me a courtesy car 05' G35 5AT and i drove with the manumatic and it is saucy spaggeti sloppy shifts compaired to teh way i drive my 6-speed, i don't mind the traffic or anything because truely, it makes up in speed
