Re: Gas Milage

I usually get about 17-19 MPG. This topic has been discussed before, so you can find more complete info by doing a search.

Re: Gas Milage

I bought this car hoping to get ok mileage. I get ~18 MPG, which I found disappointing in the beginning. Then, I decided that I didn’t care ‘cause I love my G. IMO, it’s worth the crappy mileage.

Re: Gas Milage

280-300 miles per tank. that is with almost all city. when i add in a little highway driving i can get about 320 miles on a tank.

Re: Gas Milage

I'm getting 20 mpg with 75% highway driving. But taking in consideration that my G only have about 400 miles, so I'm pretty sure it'll get better when its break-in in about a month or so

Re: Gas Milage

In my first 3 weeks and 1200 miles I have averaged 21.8mpg (according to NAV info - correct to within 0.5mpg). I have the 6MT which should be more economical than the 5AT.

I think this is a very good result for a car with this performance (although I have not exceeded 4000rpm yet). I will see if this value drops as I will now be hitting 6500rpm or more on a very regular basis having finally completed the breakin. I am getting just over 350 miles per tank in 50:50 city/highway driving.

From my experience, once you break a car in, the mileage gets better, not worse!

Re: Gas Milage

I get 14-15 mpg in the city (but i drive very aggressively). Recently got 22.3 mpg on highway alone but going fast (average speed 93mph).

Get about 280-300 mi per 18 gallon fill up mixed city/hwy driving.

Re: Gas Milage

Best I ever got was 375, pretty much all highway, but most
of the time it's around 310, but the extra cost is worth
every cent....

Re: Gas Milage

If I get better than 22mpg after breakin while redlining it from every stop I will be ecstatic. My RX-8 went from 15mpg to 17mpg even with severe driving after breakin (rev to 9500rpm several times a day).

Re: Gas Milage

For the past few weeks I've been holding pretty steady at 24mpg. I drive modest most of the time with the work commute, but if there is some open highway I like to get pushed back in my seat some.

If that helps with driving style related to the mpg.
