2006 Sedan Fog light question...

I know this question has come up about a thousand times, yes I used the search option. But I got mixed answeres.

Are the 2006 Sedan Fog bulbs h4 or 9003?
Also, if I get the PIAA bulbs that everyone seems to recommend here, would both my fog and highbeams work? Thanks

Sedan fogs are H4. 9006 is a single filament bulb, H4 is a dual.

With H4 both high and fog will work.

h4, they are a dual filament bulb, thus allowing for them to be fogs/high beams, doesnt matter what brand they are.

Complete and total newbie question but how do I turn on my fogs? My lights were set-up from the dealership on auto so I haven't had to worry about them but there have been some dark nights where fogs would have helped. Thanks!

There is a switch you turn on the turn-signal arm.

Thanks, guess I could have consulted the owner's manual but that thing looks way too much like a text book and I'm done with those for awhile.

H4 is another name for 9003. H4 is the more common name but some manufacturers use 9003. They are dual filament bulbs usually used in other cars as the low beam/high beam but on our G sedans they are used as the fog/high beam. PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs look really good, plus PIAA will replace them if they burn out in under a year (you have to call customer service, I've done it before).

There are a number of places that make a H4 replacement HID kit. They do one of four things: (1) take away hi/low and only have low, (2) have the HID and add a small H3-type bulb for high beam which is more just for flashing people, (3) there are dual bulb set-ups now with 4 ballasts that give you full control, or (4) there are some that have a shield that moves to give you different beam patterns for hi/low.

You are still adding a HID in a housing designed for a H4 beam pattern, they don't usually aim right.

I don't believe you can adjust just the fogs, it's the low and fog/hi together all on one. Inside the headlight both reflectors are attached by one piece.
