This contribution is virtually worthless. First of all it seems you are talking about a previous generation of RL as you state "I have not driven this older Acura". Well we are talking about the new RL that is the whole point.

I really like the new RL. I was waiting on the new G35 to get unveiled and once it was I really wasn't that impressed. There is not enough substantial change from the previous generation 03-06 G to the new 07. The interior has seen some nice upgrades but the exterior looks the same or worse IMHO. I just do not see myself buying the new G, I was really hoping for more but after really getting a chance to look at them I even prefer the IS350's body style. The new G just looks like the old G but with some mismatched "updates" that were basically copied from other 2007 vehicles.

For now I will probably keep my 03 G for a while longer but those RL's sure do catch my eye and tickle my fancy (no homo). I am going to have to go drive one soon at which point I might become obsessed. The 03 G is one of the best looking body styles ever, and I love it, I just wish they hadn't dated it by releasing the 2007 which looks a little poop maybe it will grow on me.

Anyone agreee about the new G?

Don't get me wrong, they are nice cars and bulletproof when it comes to reliability. But they just look soooo bland.

I think you have to test drive the 2007 G and walk around it (photos in the car mags don't do it justice IMHO). The 2007 is dramatically different up close and personal. When comparing the acceleration, creature comforts and technology between my 2003 6MT G35 that I just sold and the 2007 6MT G35 Sport I just bought (navi, premium, technology), it's a dramatic improvement.

Between my 05 G35 and the 07, I didn't see that big of a difference that would cause me to trade up to it.

the new G35 looks more like the Lexus ES350. The 03-06 G35 looks more like the new IS350. The new G has lost a lot of it's sportiness and flare it now looks like an old mans car.
