removing splash guards

hey guys, i was wondering how hard is it to remove the splash guards and how do i go about it? will the 3M tape stick permenately? I'm not really good with my hands, so any advice and how to instructions will be VERY helpful. i'm thinking about just leaving the rear guards when i add my front lip so that the lines flow alot nicer, and less scratching. I mean, my car isn't even lowered yet, and im scratching up the arss on every driveway.

thanks

It does flow better, a lot of people seem to be doing this as did I. Can't believe how ugly those front flaps are.

I am pretty sure it's just a matter of removing the screws but hopefully someone will chime in since I haven't paid much attention to my front mud guards. I will remove them though and do some before/after shots since I have the front lip y'all are waiting on.

Remove the philips screw in the wheel well, then there's a 10mm bolt on the under side of the skirt to remove. The just peel it back from the 3m tape holding it to the car. The 3m tape will be left behind, as it is when debadging the rear of the car. You can use a hairdryer and some googone or wd40 and a cotton or terry cloth to remove what's left over. The lines do look much much better, i have the front lip and the rear splashes still and i couldnt beleive what a difference takin off the front splashes made.

I would leave the rear ones on.

They are easy to remove. Just take out the screws and pull them off. A little goo-gone for the left over tape chunks and some wax to finish it off.

I just removed mine the other day in anticipation of getting the OEM lip for Christmas (hope my wife is reading ). I had two screws inside the fender wells and one plastic clip (similar to ones found everywhere else on these cars) under the bottom. The clip was pretty tight so I had to break it to get it off. Reinsert screws in fender wells, clean up goo, wax and done. It took about 15 minutes (14 of which were dealing with the goo).

No worries, it would be nothing at all to get two new clips and reinstall if I ever decide I want them back on.

Here are my before and after. Haven't really had my car nice and clean to get better pics with out them on.

Now with no front flaps.

I did have some slight scratching under where they use to be though... can't notice it really unless you know its there.

yeah, it does flow a little nicer. thanks for the info everyone. i just got my new lip from riverside infiniti, and this time....no scratches,,,yeah! hopefully i get a chance to install it tomarrow, if not, sunday.

^^so i guess my car will look like yours except for the trunk spoiler, debadging, and instead of gunmetal rims, it'll be all polished, still with the same 6 spoke design.

I think it looks better without the rears too, but the back is just to wide and will make a mess on the side of the car.
