19x8.5 Wheels on 06 Sedan Question

Just like to ask a question if I get 19x8.5 all around will 38 offset be the best offset to run. I am lowered with 350Z springs front and coupe springs rear.

I think you would be ok with that but the fronts may rub when you hit a bump and are turning. The rears will be fine.

a +38 on a 8.5" will still rub? I can't imagine how it will be when I get my 9" fronts with a +35 offset....

^^ no you will not rub at all if you use 245/35/19 or even a 245/40/19. I have 20x8.5 +38 w/ 245/35/20 and had +35 before without any problems.

I have 20x8.5 +40 fronts and they rub from time to time if I hit a bump in a turn but I am also lowered 1.3" (maybe more) in the front. They tuck.

Post pics once installed - I'm looking at the same size/offset package

your offset if too high for that set up. I'd get a 5mm spacer and I promise you the rubbing will be gone. you're hitting the inside plastic lining close to the suspension. Also, if you look at your wheels, back to front, you will see that they don't line up. The front are way too tucked. JMO. My next set will be +32 in the front.

Chico is the man!
how about 245/35/19 on 19x8 +30mm in the front? lol..
I am pretty sure that it will rub in the front; but I have seen people running that, and they say it doesn't rub

No, you're wrong. I'm hitting the outside plastic on the edge of the fender. I can show you where it rubs.

you will be fine if you still have the same suspension set up. But if you want to take a peek at my winter set up (18x8 +30 with 235/45/18) you'll see I got enough room for a 245/35/18 and my car is lower than yours. Just let me know.

I do agree on that one!
Thanks again Chico! I think I can happily order my new 19" tires for the coming spring! (But damn.... it has just started to get cold in Toronto)
