Re: Seat Pain - Official Poll
Painful at first, now just uncomfortable sometimes. When I mention it to the dealer, they say that they are researching the issue. Nothing mentioned about a TSB. They said they would call me back....Still waiting.....

There's a TSB out if the seat controls dig into your leg. What they do is remove one of the metal brackets supporting the seat controls and add some padding in there. To some people, it helps. I've heard others say it still hurts after the TSB.

I also am a fairly large person (6'2' 240) and found the seats fine at first. It seems that the seat cushion has started to sag and in doing so, started pulling the controls into my thigh. The TSB seems to improve the matter, but the controls still put pressure on a nerve or blood vessel. I tend to lose feeling in my right leg after about 30 minutes. Not safe, but might get me out of a ticket?

Hey MHart I also am 6' 2" about 240lbs. I find the seat real comfortable. My wife on the other hand hates to ride in the G just beacuse she says the passenger seat is the most uncomfortable seat she has ever riden in. When I'm, in her F350 Crewcab Dually I can't stand they way she has the seat adjusted. My upper back is dying when I have to drive her truck. I love the way the my G35 fits me.

Re: Seat Pain - Official Poll
Well, it looks like there are a few people with problems, but this poll isn't going to help.. the majority of people seem to think the seat is fine, so Infiniti will probably just sit on it and do nothing.
There's a thread around here somewhere where someone decided the TSB didn't do enough, and removed another metal bracket and put more foam in himself, leaving the seat controls a little loose but more comfortable for him. If anyone locates it, post the URL here, please.

Yes, it's a bracket that holds the front part of the seat down. They did this to my car, and it did nothing. My seat still rocks, and it's getting worse, but the dealership says Infiniti won't let them do anything about it. Thanks for reminding me.. I keep forgetting to call Infiniti Consumer Affairs to complain (I only remember when I'm in the car.. hehe).

Re: Seat Pain - Official Poll
The driver's seat was TERRIBLE before the TSB, and now is simply bad. Prior to the TSB my rt. leg/foot would go numb on any drive of 30 minutes or longer. Fortunately this was balanced out by the EXCRUCIATING pain it caused in my right hip and upper thigh. : -P
I nearly sold my sedan at the beach (first trip) rather than face 4 hours in that damn seat on the return trip. I had to buy a car cushion from Wal-Mart to be able to bear the drive home.
After having the TSB done the driver's seat is now merely uncomfortable. It is strange in that some days it is much worse than others, but this seat has NEVER been ANYWHERE close to comfortable over drives of more than 15-20 minutes. I have driven dozens of cars from many makers, and this is the ONLY seat I have ever had ANY problem from. That includes a POS Chevy Cavalier rental I drove for 3 weeks not too long ago. The worst problem comes from the seat controls being mounted on top(Idiotic idea in a car this narrow), but I do agree with those who say the lumbar support could use some tweaking too. Infiniti needs to STEP UP and address this problem in real way!!
