Thinking about busying a G35 Sedan

I'm going to a few dealerships tomorrow to look at a few used g35's.
I wanted to know what kind of quirks these cars have?Recalls? Any issues I should be aware of? I'll be looking at 03-04 with an auto trans.

TIA

Mechanically, they are sound cars but squeeks and rattles are abundant.

Interior.
Go for an 04 as alot of the "bugs" were worked out in the 04 models.

I have an '04 sedan.Having some squeeking issues with the rubber bushings on compression rods at times.Still lots of warranty so I'll have dealer check that next service.
All in all I love the car,it just screams sexy grrrrr.
Get ready to fall back into your seat when you step on it!!

Mechanically,it may be one of the best engines on the market.

Forget the 03/04s. The newer one are much better. How about an 07?

buy an 05-06 and then when the '08 comes out, buy that one! Thats what I'm doing. I have an '06 and waiting to see what upgrades they do for the 08-09 model. Then I'll know what to trade for.

The 2003s had some recalls related to the fuel system.

Quirks:
-The brakes tend to be a bit touchy unless the pads have been replaced with non-OEM ones.
-CD changer on 2003 models is slow, but there is a fix for this.

Other than that, nothing really. It's a fantastic vehicle for sure.

03/04 have the old brakes which eat pads alive! If you are not going to change the brakes, look for an 05+

And the 04's never seemed any better interior wise. They are identical as I can tell. The recalls, if they were performed, should have corrected any fuel line or brake light problems. Just don't pay more than 18 for either year and get them loaded up. Get a sports suspension if you actually drive hard at all as it makes a big big difference. Look for mods - you really don't want to buy a modded car if you are picky, you want an old lady church car that you can then mod yourself

I got a PM for the same question, he said there was a TSB for the slow changer and he had it fixed with a replacement 04 changer (his #1 button didn't work).

I guess the fix was to get an 04 changer from the dealer?

I specifically wanted an 05 for the 298HP REV-UP motor, as well as all of the little enhancements.

I will probably keep for two years and then look at a used 07 or 08.
