Room for baby seats in G35 sedan?

I couldn't find much info on baby seats, just a couple of posts related to the latch system (and removing the stickers).

I'm just wondering how spacious the back seat is. Can I fit a couple of fairly large baby seats in the back without having to move the seats up and squash the people in the front?

If you're at all familiar with car seats, I have a Britax Decathalon for my 7 mo old and a Marathon for my 2 year old.

Thanks!

In an unrelated question, is the g35x available with a manual transmission?

I've never tried two seats but I ran a Britex forward facing/rear facing in my G sedan. I run the larger size (front facing) and it's okay. My now 2 yo can just kick the backs of the two front seats now though. BTW the seat is still in the middle.

I guess it depends on how long you are. I'm a short asian dude so.... haha

Ah so one very young and one older. You could try to go middle (rear face) and one on the side but I don't think it would fit. Depends on the seat I guess. I think the infant rear face would take more room so put that on the P-side.

plenty of room on either seat for car seats, but i definitely dont think you can do a full sized convertible carseat and a rear facing carseat in the middle.

I've got two little ones, one forward facing seat and one rear and they fit fine. There is plenty of room for the people up front too.

I bought this car partially for that reason and i was reading that the G has the largest back seat in its class.

I don't have any kids, but I can answer your other question. No you can't get a 6MT in the X, only the RWD.

The best thing to do is actually try the seats out in a G sedan. It's what I did when I went from my maxima to G sedan.

we have a recaro young sport seat for our todler and we want the britax companion for our newborn (who will be arriving in about 5 weeks) We just got the g and haven't even tried the recaro in it yet, but it should be okay. they aren't much smaller than the 6th gen maxima. Let me know what you figure out

sounds like i may have found my next car then (too bad no 6sp g35x though). i was looking at a 99-00 540i but really didn't want the german maintenance bills. i'll have to thank the guys in the lexus forums for turning me on to the g35 when i was asking in those forums about a lexus model comparable to a 540. ever since i went from american performance cars to my first japanese performance car (a 1990 300zxtt and later a 91 NSX), i've never really considered owning anything except honda, toyota and nissan. i almost strayed . whew, close call!!

luckily i don't have to fit baby seats in my car but i have two booster seats in my coupe and found out that the booster seats are too wide for the contour of the backseat.
