15K Service, "Reset Throttle Body to Factory Specs"?

Hi Folks,

Longtime lurker here, great info. I've got an 04 6MT and a quick question about service. Herb Chambers Infiniti in Boston, lists this for 15K:

$ Replace Engine Oil
$ Replace Engine Oil Filter
Check and clean tires, belts and hoses
$ Lube doors, hood and trunk hinges
Check battery terminals
Check coolant strength
Rotate and balance tires
Load test battery
$ Replace air filter
$ Replace wiper inserts
Inspect automatic/manual transmission fluid
Top off all fluids
Inspect brake master cylinder, pads, discs, calipers and condition of lines
Inspect steering gear, axles and suspension
Inspect exhaust system
Inspect parking brake cables, adjust if necessary
Clean throttle body and reset to factory engine specifications

I put a $ next to things that seem like they would be worth the money to have them do if they're not going to charge a silly amount of cash. Any thoughts on that?

Isn't there a cabin air intake filter too? Would you have that done too?

I am also curious, what the heck is 'reset to factory specs' for a throttle body? Does that seem like something that should be required?

Thanks for your opinions!

Here is what they did for me for $293.16 at Dick Smith Infiniti in SC.

Micro Filter(that's in cabin) 43.69
filter assy oil 7.82
Refil wiper blades 8.98
A/C oder Killer 9.65
Fuel treatment 6.92
Battery Service 6.83
Washer Solvent 1.49
Other wiper blade 8.98

Note: I have a 04 6MT also that was sitting in storage for a year with 14900 miles. This work was done on Dec 02. I took my own oil also Mobil 1 syn.
So your laundry list looks really long. I told them not to replace my air filter as i have a K&N in there.NE ways good luck

Hehehe, I just talked to the service guy and he shot out a very different list that didn't include the throttle body 'reset to factory specifications'. Anyway, they want $300 for inspecting a lot of things, changing the oil, filter, air filter, cabin filter, and wipers.

So I'm just going to have them do the oil/filter/lube for $40 and do the other stuff myself. The service guy said to just hold onto the receipts to avoid any warranty issues. Honestly, the only thing from their list that I think could *maybe* cause a warranty issue would be if I didn't change the air filter.

Joy to all!
