Just thought I should put up a thread about the nismo skirts on my 05x

i'm sure it will look twice as good when i put my pentas back on.
it will prob look even better if I get a nismo rear cover





im not sure if iam that enthusiastic about the skirts...looks too subtle. none the less I always get the question "where did you get that lip kit from?" so they definetely are noticeable

 

Yeah it doesn't stand out but it does flow better with the front lip than factory I found a side sills that stand out more than the Nismo but aren't as expensive as Stillen but I'm in no rush to pick them up since it's the holidays...

The skirt is a little over $300 and the kit itself is a little over 1000 and it DOES FIT 2005-06

yea, in that respect, i'm very happy. it no longer looks like I cheaped out and bought 1/3rd of a aftermarket lip kit. The front lip weith nothing else looked really weird before

 

dam, now i find out about this. that kit doesnt look half bad. ---those skirts look just like the 05 skirts tho...

 

^^ They stand out on the sides where as the nismo are flush the rear bumper works well with the Nismo or our factory front lip too.

Where'd you hear that the GTcomp kit fits the 05-06?? Are you saying just the sides and rear fit? or that the whole kit with fit???

I meant the rear since the nismo rear skirt doesn't fit an 05-06 this is a good alternative. The sides is pretty much common knowledge...any side would fit the 05 thru 06...

 

03-04 and 05-06 rear bumpers are interchangeable. This was confirmed by another member a couple months back. He put the 05-06 rear bumper on his 03-04 and said it was a direct fit. Now, as far as the 03-04 nismo rear valence fitting on the 05-06, i'm not so sure since the bumper designs are way different. The skirts are a direct swap from 03 all the way to 06.

 

Neal I thought you wanted the stillen sides? But the nismo does line up pretty good.

 

The valence doesn't fit. That's what us 05-06 folk want.

 

i thought so...at least the 05-06 rear bumper came painted body color!!! us 03-04 folks need to purchase the valence or pay to get it painted

 

yea, but i went with the nismo in the end...mostly b/c of price since it comes painted

keep in mind, I dont have the rear mud guards...so maybe if I get a pair of those, it might add to the look
