Quote: I have '04 Sedan with 17' alloy wheels, 52k miles, Nav system. I don't think I can downsize to anything less. Maybe changing the suspension or struts?
Sport or non-sport? If sport, trade to non-sport. I have an '04 Sport sedan with the 17's and I find it pretty good overall, a bit bouny at times, but nothing terrible. I beleive you can actually downsize to 16" since the very first base sedans came with them. Personally I wouldn't, tire roll is worse than bad susp IMO. At 52K your susp is definately not what it was so you may be ready to replace/upgrade (unless you always had this feeling). Another thing I just though of is that when I got new tires not so long ago the idiots filled them at 40-42psi and my car was hopping all over the place. You can drop a few PSI to around 30 to soften the ride a bit. You will burn a bit more gas tho.

Hope this helps.

Thanks y'all for the comments...which i found very insightful. And for the dude who said to sell, cause I'm not made for the G...Uhmm, not really. I've been in love with the Machine since it's launch date back in '02. I just don't remember it being this bouncy before the $10k accident (mainly the front end). I wish I have the money to upgrade to an 05' or later. Is it wise to trade it for a later one with more milleage? I have 53k on mine right now.

ohhhh, see now, ur leaving out too many details. Was it like this right after the accident? Did u get a new front susp with the repairs? If your shocks a blown you'll definately be bouncing on the springs. On the bright side now you can put your car in a west coast rap video with all that bounce.

I don't see that much of a point in trading it in for a later revision (unless if you are talking about a 07). For money wise, just buy a fairly "mint" set of non-sport shocks and springs here... You shouldn't have any trouble finding that.

Moreover, it can also be that your shocks are "shot", which can explain why you think that the ride is now bouncy.

LOL @west coast rap video...even as a blk dude, I'm not much of a fan of all that. ANywah, i think I am just looking for any reason to upgrade eventhough I don't have the money. I just want an MP3 playback capability and the back tail light of the 05, and of course a lesser bumpy ride. Also Godmans, I see you have the same car I have. I've been looking for a video on how to use the 5speed automatic.
I like this community of G owners, very helpful. Thank you all.

You want MP3, get an iPod and the Nissan integration kit. You can buy the '05 tail lights. If I did an upgrade it would be due to the keyless, bluetooth and the engine (6mt), but then I might as well look at the '07.

I'm sure you're ride issue is something that can be easily remedied.
