Tire sizing

I am looking at several options, as fara s upgrading my wheels. However most of teh the options, require changing overall tire diameter. I know on ford trucks the dealer can adjust teh speedometer accordingly, is this true with Infiniti as well? Has anyone had any ABS, or VDC issues running staggered sizes. One possible combination is 18s in 225-40, and 265-40 is any one running this combination?

Don't know if they can adjust your speedo or not. I just made sure and got new tires that were almost the exact diameter as my oem and my speedo is only off by ~.3mph on the freeway.

As for the 225/40 and 265/40, that would look stupid because the rears would have so much taller of a sidewall.

You are correct. I fat fingered the keys, that should have been 225-45. A 265-40 would bne within .3 inches of stock, which would equate to slightly over .75 mph at 60.
