With a hot car like that, it seems a shame to not have the footwork & suspension in order...

Still VERY nice tho...enjoy it in good health.
As for the stance, I have given it many thoughts. I have previously dropped 1" using coupe springs, but it kept hitting my local Car wash railing & is almost touching the lift ramp at my local mechanic shop, almost touching the curb at my work (The Front lip lowered the front vs stock further). Plus, I take it off-road fishing almost every weekend with my Canoe on top. This is my daily driver & hardworking off roader. It's the need to balance the look vs. practicality made me decided to switch to Sedan sport springs, which is now lowered modestly by 0.5" from stock g35x.

As for the wheels, I still love my Piaa Super Rozza, which shows off the BBK, but possiblely may go for 19" of I-forged Aero look, if a good deal comes along & it's light, again, I am unwilling to sacrifice performance just for looks. There's not that many wheels I like & there's even less that I am willing to pay for.

There are some dealers like that around. I know of a few who will install the Stillen stage 2 SC and still keep the warranty. You have to buy the one Stillen sells for ~$250 but they will do the work for you if anything goes wrong.

At my shop they were contacted by the local dealer to install a Stillen kit on a Z that a guy was looking at. They did, he blew it up and they warrantied it. Dont ask me how, but they did. I think that the dealer ate most of it. Anyways your car looks great and would look SICK if it was a little lower. Oh and by the way My procharger you can add to the list of not safe on stock internals...starting to get a little blow by...we start the bottom end buildup on monday, and MORE BOOST!!! without worrying...

It kind of depends on the Service Manager. A different service manager at the same dealer turned me down before & said he'd never allow S/C install, thank god he left.

The new Service manager has some intake/exhaust mods to his Dadge ram, so he is much more mod friendly. Plus, I've had a good relationship with John, the service mechanic, as I've had most my mod done by him & I didn't complaint that it took him 19 hours to put the S/C in where an experenced HKS Installer in California could do it in less than 10 hours.

Did a little test to night with my G-timer, as I don't trust butt dyno.
Took my car for a spin at higher speed to see what's the high end G-forces
changes are. I got 0.33G & 0.32G at 3rd & 4th gear respectively. I backed-off gas padel near redline because I am afread of hitting the rev. limiter, looks like I might need a VB upgrade after all, just to avoid hitting the rev limiter in 5AT mode.

This is a huge G-force difference compare to before, with just the Stillen dual, I had max of 0.23G at 3rd gear & 0.15G at 4th gear.

Assume 3rd gear give the max HP,
Assume my car with stillen true dual was running at 295hp (+15hp from stock, although Stillen claims add 20-25hp, I don't believe it) or 230 Whp.
Assume The g-forces at 3rd gear is proportional to the max hp.
This will make my car 295x33/23 = 423hp at fly wheel
or 230x33/23= 330 Whp.

I am not sure the above assumptions are totally accurate, but I think it's safe to predict that my car is now > 400hp at Cranks & > 300 hp at the wheels.

The higher gear pull was a weak point for G before, I could feel the Stillen dual improved it a bit but nothing to write home about. The HKS S/C pull at 3rd & 4th gear is just incrediable, throw me to my back when I stomped the gas padel from a 80mph cruise. Where before, it'd down shift to 3rd & pull a little bit to 85mph, upshift back to 4th & be barely moving. At 4th gear now, the G forces jumps from 0.15G before to 0.32G now (The pedal is ~90% down, I was still taking it easy a little), that's an astonishing 113% G-forces increase, Can you say Wooooow

Give me a few weeks, I will do a 1/4 mile run with the G-timer, which has been calibrated at track after several run & adjustments, The g-timer runs a 14.7 when the slips says 14.8, pretty accurately with 0.1 second off.
I hope it'll be in the mid 13s at least.

No, I left them in, People at my work was complaining my stillen (Gen II) was too loud. I think these CC-muffler inserts may actually help on building a little back presure for the S/C.

Also, with the balanced sound, I can hear both the S/C & the Exhaust, otherwise, the Stillen will totally dominate with it's obnoxious sound. Also,
the droning at 2000-2500 rpm was cured with the CC insert.

Incase other's may not know what it is, here is picture of the CC-Insert:

They were a little sloppy/careless (probably rushed) with some work done related to the fuel hose recall. The thing that bugs me is that they always have someone call the very next day to take a survey which gives me little time to figure out if there's anything worng. I'm not sure how they are about modded cars though, which is why I've been heistant for so long.
Yeah, they are hit or miss... more misses I think. They couldn't fix the wiper chatter or any of the console rattles but did fix the TSB's like the rear window rattle, compression rods, etc.

Yes, they tend to be quick on their feet calling and sending mails for surveys. The people there (the service consultants) seems two face, kinda fake. Overall, the dealership is alrite. Usually get my loaner when requested but I think they should focus more on customer relations rather than their survey ratings.

I am lucky with my dealer, they are good people & do a good job.

They felt bad taking 19 hours to install the S/C, so when they fixed a Brake
leak on my BBK, they covered it in full under waranty, which I didn't expect it because it's not a factory part.

My prior two cars were BMW 325 & Mercedes C 320, those dealers charge
a lot more than infiniti, that's another reason I am happy with the infiniti dealer,
their labor is $90/hr vs >$120/hr at German car dealers.

You are very fortunate that you have established a good relationship with your Dealer. It goes a long way for getting good service.

Drop Resistor Mod

The shifting at WOT is hitting the rev. limiter as expected due to much
faster rev up with the S/C. Instead of doing VB upgrade, This is what I am planning to do for my tranmission: The drop resistor mod.

That was a popular mod for Maxima folks on NO2. The Level 10 VB upgrade for maxima was $100 but $700 for G, that's obsurd. It's just higher rated springs to beef up the line pressure, a couple dollars of parts plus some labor. The SGP uses bigger solonoids on top of higher rate springs. Both VB mod give faster ****s under WOT but harsh shift at low speed & daily normal driving is just an unwanted side effect.

The Drop Resistor mod could be installed that only kicks in & give Full line pressure at WOT, thus, the car drive normal during daily driving but transmission turns into "Race mode" under WOT, with Full line pressure,
It'll give fast & hard shifts to avoid damaging tranmission or hit rev. limiter.,
very similar to VB upgrade but under normal non-WOT driving, it falls back to
daily driving "comfort mode". The only draw back is that it was known to triger CEL & teh CEL need to be resetted after each WOT, I wonder if the dealer could trick the computer somehow to not throw the Check Engine Light.

See the Maxima mod for youself here:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=285482

I am just surpriced to see that nobody has done it to 5AT G, I guess it's time to have a discusison with my dealer again. I am sure there is drop a resistor for the 5AT on the G, all the nissan models comes with one & I think someone has done it on the FX.

Point taken...well it sounds like youve built the perfect car for your lifestyle - and for that, i applaud you!
