Noobie here!!

Hey everybody,

[this is my first post here ]

I see a lot of familiar usernames from some other forums!!

anyway, I currently drive a 2000 Sentra SE 2.0 that Im quite bored of. I mean the car is pretty reliable but It just has lost its effect on me. I think the whole automatic thing is getting kind of stale. Its so bad I rather drive my 5 speed beater over my car just because the car is so much more fun to drive.

That said, I have decided to get something else! So here I am, looking at G's. Im in love with the coupe but unfortunatly, I dont think I can fit one into my budget, 03's are still selling for close to $24k at most dealers Ive seen on Autotrader. I guess the sedan fits right in my price range, something under $20k. Someone on another forum said the 03's are going for $15-17k but I have yet to see that.

Seeing some of the pics in the picture threads, Im seeing the sedan really does have a good amount of potential, so its a possibility for me. Im just wondering, how expensive is this car to mod?

LMAO

i do actually, dont worry im prepared to be

i mean lets see

an AEM CAI for my sentra costs $250
an brand name [nismo, greddy, apexi etc] catback costs about $450
Hotshot header is about $400.

obviously the headers will be a lot more but is the sedan single exhaust?
how much more expensive are the basic I H E mods compared to what I posted above?

thats a lot lol

I just looked at some catbacks for the sedan on ebay. The HKS for the sedan is about $570 shipped, which isnt that bad.

Im afraid to get a coupe because of the cost of parts!

welcome!

As far as mod prices, it's a bit more than any other car I have had but not as bad as a MB, BMW, etc. That being said, I guess it comes down to how much you want to do. I have more in my car than I paid for it and have done most of the mods myself to save on money!

^+1 -- How much do you love it. I don't like to keep track of how much I spend on my car, but a labor of love it is..
