You should have bought a sc300 and slap a big ol turbo on it and have it all. SC400's are heavy and plow through corners...The G platform is incredibly mod friendly. I think that pepboys has a sale on battery cable can anyone say grounding kit....

It's just you...I have a great time driving my car after almost 2 years of ownership...It sounds like your sold on the Lexus...Trade in the G and get one...Or you can turn off the vdc,get some sways(the stock sport suspension sways can't compare)get a z-tube and a real K&N,get a plenum spacer, grounding wires for your tranny, some good tires (if you don't have them)and have some fun with a great sport sedan...

I've had my 03 5AT since August 2002 and I still love driving it daily on my way to and from work and everywhere in between.

You seem to dislike everything about the car...why bother modding it, just sell it and get something else.

I had *my* car 4 months.. and I loved it since the first time I test drove one in 2002. haha... (It took a while to save for one, and look for a good Used one, I actually liked the 03-04 models, with the sticky brakes.) Sure the interior is not up to Lexus standards, but like others have said it's also not Lexus Price either. So for the best bang for the buck.. I gladly take a "cheaper" interior and have a great engine, tranny, chassis.

It's definitely just you. You don't know how to mod it, and when you do, you spend pennies on it. I am not rich, but I also know that if you want good parts, you pay for it. I have the Stillen CAI and MD 1/2" spacer, and I love this car so much more... after 3k the car just flies. haha. (to me.. I know alot of people have Superchargers/Turbos, u guys REALLy fly...)

You compare a modified SC400 to a Stock G. why don't u modify the G to the same level as your previous SC400 and then do a comparison. Last I sat in an SC400 and even drove the SC430, I can tell you "stock" it did not feel SPORTY or fast to me... it felt more like a luxury cruiser... So compare stock to stock, or modified to modified....

Yeah, one time as tested by Motor Trend. After thier initial test back in 1998, the car slowed down quite a bit. My buddies 99 has done consistent 14.7-14.8s. His friend's 00 GS400 has done 14.8-14.9@95mph. I've also witnessed two other GS400s running at my track over the years and they both ran 14.6-14.8@95-96mph. Over at ClubLexus.com you rarely hear of a stock GS400 breaking into the sub 14.5s. Go see for yourself. The GS400 is a sweet ride and does have 300hp/310tq, but it has 350lbs additional weight in tow and power to weight rules the acceleration game. Advantage: G35
