My auto Sedan just started presenting a problem. When I first start it, the idle jumps to about 1400 rpm & stays there for about 3 minutes. Pedal pushing does nothing to reset it. When I put it in drive, it wants to roll from a stop when I release the brake. This just started happening this week, so I doubt the idle setting just drifted.
Any ideas what causes this? Would a dirty air filter cause this (K&N)? Should I just adjust the idle & forget about it? (I forgot where the adjusting screw is ).

I'd suggest a power down ECU reset.

Come on folks. This isn't my first winter. I have an '04. My post stated it just started this week. It's called a racing idle. Somethings wrong. It even races when I start it after parking it in a lot & returning (still warm). Could a clogged air filter cause this? Am I posting in the wrong section?

Sounds like an airflow sensor issue. I would clean the TB and MAS then do an ECU reset.
