Yeah, why IS your car hanging off like that? Your car definitely looks totaled to me, so maybe that's why...the flatbed driver really doesn't give a $hit. Man....those pictures are painful..it that was my car, I think I'd cry .

Don't make that a criteria... The event data recorder is not unique to Infiniti. It is becoming more and more common in many cars.

I recall reading an article in which a teenager (not on an Infiniti) got into an accident, and the teenager initially said they were only going slightly faster than the speed limit, but upon examination of the EDR, it turned out that he was going significantly faster, causing the prosecution to increase the penalty (I think there was a death involved in the court case).

Anyway, the EDR was originally intended to help improve air bags and cars' crash worthiness, not as a way of snooping (and that issue is a topic for a whole other thread...).

Check with your insurance company. You may have replacement ride coverage until yours is replaced.
If not you'll have to rent one yourself..... or hitch......

Sorry to hear of your accident......but glad you're ok....That's most important.

C.

I Do not think 20 feet is off by much. The speed limit in most neighborhoods is 30mph. So it is a pretty controllable speed.

You have an x-type or might get one? Bad choice IMO....that car's depreciation is HORRENDOUS and I recall reliability sucks & expensive to fix..again, just my opinion.

Why not an '07 G !?

Are you okay? Seriously, did you hit you head or anything? Was your typing this horrendous before the accident?

Good luck with insurance.

How do you do a 180 at 35mph w/ AWD and traction control? Especially when the road looks dry?

Sorry for your loss man. I'm sure the insurance will take care of it. Good luck
