2004 6MT sedan speed at redline in each gear...

Couldn't find this info on a search, and I don't have an owner's manual, so had a quick question....What is the top speed in each gear for the 2004 6MT sedan?

On autos u can almost reach 100 with 3rd gear and i am aware of that. The original poster was asking about 04 6MTs which have shorter gear ratios than 5ATs.

Looks right on. Im guessing 6th is whatever the car tops out at.

Well i took it up to 150 mph once and it had about 1k rpm left. At that speed 1k rpm is a lot so if the car had enough power im sure it can top out over 170mph.

Klubb: your numbers seem to be a bit low because I know for a fact lots of 350Z guys are running 108mph+ in the 1/4 mile and are still in 4th.

According to my calculations, here are the redline top speeds for each gear (1-5) using the 6MT gearings and a 26.4" tire height:

1: 39mph
2: 63mph
3: 90mph
4: 115mph
5: 146mph

R: 51mph

I tag the rev limiter just after crossing the finish line (seems like the second I hit it) and the speedometer shows a crack over 100mph (101-102mph) and the timeslip shows nearly 100mph. Taking in consideration that the timeslip MPH is an average of the last 60', I'd assume the 3rd gear on the auto is good for about 102mph. If you let the tranny shift the itself, it will shift into 4th at 90mph. That's pure weak sauce

Actually 350z 3rd gear is longer than the G35's. I always used to race my friends 350z 6MT from 60-120 and his 3rd and 4rth gear are a bit longer than mine. I don't know if its the weight or different ratios.
And i know for a fact that 2nd gear doesn't hit 60 for sure.
