Stealership strikes again..............

Now that you've changed your oil it wouldn't hurt to install a new filter.
Keep an eye on your oil level, it's possible you have an oil consumption
problem. If you were using synthentic oil it would never get that black
cruddy apperance and really good for the motor. LOL

Changed the filter already. The oil that just came out was synthetic and it was black as night.

That sucks. How many miles you've got on the clock? No blue smoke from the exhaust or dripage stain? How thick was the oil?
One quart left and still no light! The warning light is pretty much useless then.

A lot of people have a hard time trusting EZ/Jiffy lube. Now you have to question the dealership.
It's that old saying about wanting something done right.

My car has been making a weird click noise for the past 4 or 5 weeks. I thought it was my transmission due to the fact that it is already messed up and being replace this week.

The main reason i thought it was my transmission was b/c every time i would change gears or whenever i engaged the clutchthe clicking would start up. So I was driving a buddy home from are class and we noticed that the clicking could still be heard when the car was reved in nutural. So when we got to his place he got out and I reved the engine and he said it sounded like it was coming from my Valve train. So it wasn't the Transmission the whole time.

From their I went Straight to discount auto and got some oil. When i got back and started to drain the oil the oil started to come out slowly. After about 45 sec in came to a drizzle. We put some oil through just to make sure that all of it was out and it went strait through into the bucket. So now that it was all out i looked at the bucket and their was less then a court their. Infiniti never changed my oil! Theirs no way in hell my car can consume 4 courts of oil in 3 or 4 months.

Now god knows what is wrong with my engine. And now that i have change my oil the sound is gone. Their is no way to prove that this ever happened. Is their. Now boost is out of the question. I will be calling infiniti tomorrow but wtf is that going to do. I wish i just left it as is.

Yea dumbass, thats why I do every thing my self **** dealerships
especially that one. you know what they did to my cars paint when I brought it in.

I had this same thing happen to me last July with my '06 that had 9k miles on it at that time.

I took it in to my dealer to have the oil changed at 5k miles and at some point I heard "ticking" coming from the front end of the car. When the oil light came on, I tried to take it back in to be looked at, but of course they wanted to schedule an appointment. I waited a day and decided to take it in anyway but on the road to the dealership, the engine blew up.. I mean, parts trailing behind the car, smoke everywhere, the whole nine.. It would have been funny except that it was my vehicle.

Service manager tried to tell me that I "ran" the oil out of my car and that it would be $12k to replace the engine. Nevermind the fact that his tech serviced my car well within the service interval.. I told him that he might want to have the local PD onsite when I arrived because I had no intentions of giving him the money and I was going to express myself appropriately once I got there. By the time I got there, he had a change of heart and told me that they would replace the engine and they did.

Problem is, less than 1k miles later the engine was "ticking" again. I took it someplace else and had the oil changed. It was low on oil again.. That was a couple of months ago and I haven't had the problem again. Needless to say, I won't be taking my car to that dealer for routine maintenance.

I really wish my engine blew. I don't have any proof of this happening. And now I'm contemplating selling the car if they don't offer me a new engine witch is highly doubtful.

Same exact S*** happened to me. I went to a "lube shop" one time, I am
the guy that always changes his own oil, but was lazy. I had @12K on the odo and went to Vegas for the week and on the way home noticed the same
valve tick. Checked my oil and not a drop on the stick. Put in 3 1/2 qts to get it back in normal level. Thats when I installed a spacer and checked my
oil every week. My car uses oil and unless broke in perfect, I think that all
VQs will burn oil. You probably didnt cause any real damage unless you really
drove it hard with no oil. Good luck.
