New Guy w. a question

Hello all,

I will soon be gearing up to purchase an '07 g35x. I have been debating this situation for the past 2-3 months. Other options were the 328xi, volvo xc90, audi a4 and volvo s60 R. basically i have decided to go w/ the G due to its "bang for the buck." I couldn't believe how much more car I was getting for relatively the same price. Anyway, I do have a question. I want to get navi with the car. With navi you MUST get XM and NOT sirius. this causes a problem for me. I already have sirius in my car now and want to continue to have it in my new car.

Has anyone had to deal with this as well? I know that i can get a sirius player but i really like the "built-in" look. Can i get both installed into the car's system? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

How bad does the dealer want to sell the car? See if you can have them install the Sirus tuner.

Check with the salesman if it is possible to put the Sirius tuner on with the Navi. Don't know where you live, but you may also be interested in the XM Nav traffic service (but only available in larger metropolitan areas, and the quality of service may vary). Other option is to use an aftermarket Sirius tuner and connect it to the G35x's, auxiliary audio inputs, although connecting the tuner to the roof antenna may be a challenge.

BTW, good choice on the G. Looks like you really want an AWD, which is the same criteria that I have. I also test drove the Lexus IS250 AWD, but it was too small and had a lot less power. I also test drove the Volvo S60, but its performance wasn't as good as the G, and wasn't as price competitive. Its handling isn't as good as the G. I thought about, but didn't drive the 328xi, but just looking at the specs, it has a LOT LESS horsepower than the G35. There was no AWD option for the 335, and it cost significantly more, so didn't even pursue the 335 as an option.

My wife has a Volvo XC90 with the V8 engine (great acceleration, BTW). Great car! We'll see how its reliability holds up, but we got the extended warranty. IMO, if you need an SUV (and are lucky to have decent reliability), the XC90 is a great SUV (especially if you get the V8 AWD version).
Between the Volvo and my G35x, we have the best of both worlds. A large
vehicle for times when you need the room, and a sporty car for other times.

The new G's only come with XM sat radio. If you want Sirius you will have to buy aftermarket.

Wasn't sirus an option for 03-05? I'm surprised it's not an option anymore.
