Hey All,
First off, I did use the search function and after reading the first 15 or so pages decided to post. Second, I did post in the tech forum but have not gotten any responses.
So I figured I'd post here.
I have a non-aero sedan and I am thinking about getting the lowers painted to match. I have spoken to one of the better body shops in my area and they said that due to the roughness of the plastic on the lowers, it is nearly impossible to get them smooth, uniform or to guarantee that the paint will stick. They basically said that it was not worth the money to get it done.
I would appreciate any feedback on this especially from people who have had their lowers re-painted.
Thanks.

Try those.
Yes you can paint them but they do need some prep work. The other option is to buy the Nismo ones that come painted.

^ looks fantastic. I want to get mine done too as the lowers are looking their age. Here I thought not many were using the track editions. How do you like them? Able to use the oem 245s in the rear w/o rubbing?

I had it done in January 2004 and they still look like the G two posts up..PERFECT. I have had NO issues. Try a different bodyshop.

Can you guys chime in on the costs? I'd like to know a ball park when I shop
Thanks for the info guys. ttrank, I am in on the Nismo group buy so hopefully if the price is right I will go that way. I guess I will keep checking on body shops in the meantime. Also, so far I have been quoted $540-$695 to get the sides painted and one of those guys didn't guarentee it would stick.
G35luv, you car looks sweet.
Again, thanks for the info.

I had the car i when some a$$ hit and ran on me. They pulld the bumpers and the skirts. The quote was about $640 for all. But I already was having the car fixed so they cut me a deal and I paid about $200 for it all. Very woth it and it makes the car look as it should.

Had mine done 2 weeks ago for $200 along with painting my m3 style lip spoiler. I had this all done at the same time I was having a small dent repaired, though.Originally Posted by Jeff92se

That's just what I was gonna ask. Not to jack a thread but how much do you guys think just an M3 lip spoiler matching my IPearl would run, ballpark?
