Re: Any regrets?

Initially I had wished for a coupe, but needed a sedan for practical reasons. No regrets now and I wouldn't change a thing. I love driving my 6MT garnet fire sedan and my growing kids love the styling and the room--especially when one of em has to sit in the back.

Re: Any regrets?

Hey guys

Pestilence said it right.. Also, I would list everything that my buddy Ted listed... PLUS one addition

An ultimate sleeper!!!! And for the price difference between a reasonably loaded sedan and a fully loaded coupe, you can get a FI package that will burn EVERY M3 out there, if not the Z06. I am planning on proving this very soon.....

Re: Any regrets?

All of the above, plus the Sedan Bose being so much better than the Coupe's has me loving my Sedan! I just got back from the N.C mountains, and had an absolute BLAST tearing up Hwy 276 in the Pisgah National Forest and also parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Damn, this car is FUN to drive!! The auto-stick worked great for controlling engine speed thru the many tight cutbacks, and on the hills and dropoffs! The brakes performed flawlessly.I am just now beginning to realize what this car is capable of! G35 Sedans ROCK!!!

Re: Any regrets?

Heeheeeheee....I'll bet you are bugging out. The Dg/G package looks excellent on the Sedan. If I have a regret, it is that DG wasn't available when I bought my sedan. I am still not sure which color I would have bought, the DG, or the DP I went with, but it would have made my choice a whole lot harder. On second thought, I'm glad it wasn't available. It took me forever to find just what I wanted at a price I could live with. ; )

You are gonna have sooooooo much fun with your car, gman4gman !!!

Re: Any regrets?

No regrets, at all. At first, I went for the sedan because it would be our "family" car. Now, I think that even if the car was just for me, I would stick with the sedan. For overall utility, I think it's the better car, and it has almost as high a fun factor as the coupe. I'd still love to have the coupe someday as a weekend car, though.

Re: Any regrets?

i wish i had a coupe. cause it has such nice seats compared with our space bouncy house 2003. it makes the ride feel so much more solid. and the coupe looks sweet. it was my dream car for a couple years b4 it came out. but the sedan is a lot bigger...which i like and the trunk is bigger, which i like. and the coupe's electric seat mover forward thing sucks ***. its too slow. oh yea, the coupe comes with brembos...lucky bastards. but all in all, i love the price of the sedan. 6 grand less than a coupe man. that says a lot.

BASE ACURA TLX NOW WANT A G35 AGAIN THOUGH
Re: Any regrets?

Curious? Why weren't BREMBOS offered for the sedan?
I would've paid a little more for better brakes.
Does anyone have an answer?

Re: Any regrets?

I think the stupidity of the argument can be blamed on the sedan owners' attempt at justifying their purchase. In a dominantly relative-viewed world [one subject to opinion], we can only judge looks by majority. If this is the case, then the Gcoupe is obvious the winner here. Combined with its supercar-like looks, 2 doors, and humming exhaust, it simply blows the Gsedan out the window. The sedan has neither the sleek look of the coupe, nor the luxurious look of a sedan. It tries vainly to imitate both worlds, leaving a boring looking car which succeeds in neither.
The recent trend of sport sedans leaves the G35 sedan in the dust. It's boring body shape, cheap interior do not match those of the C32, the Audi S4, the 3-series or 5-series, the new TL, or IS300. It may take victory in terms of power, but lacks in many of the other categories.
The argument can be made it is the best bang for the buck. Which may be true, if one really wanted the Gcoupe but could not purchase it for life style reasons. If one really needed 4 doors, then there are plenty of options elsewhere.
The Gcoupe is a basically a premium 350z, provided it was tuned down and fattened up to provide some luxury to the driver. The Gsedan is basically an nicer Altima. This is a fair opinion, compare the similar body structures on both cars, the same basic set ups. It is much like the G20 before it. Don't fool yourself into thinking that your Gsedan is unique to itself.

After reading some of the arguments posted here:
-The minute weight difference is balanced by increased hp.

-I can buy a base 350z and twin turbo it for some real speed.

-Can you honestly say that a Gsedan looks more like a race car?

-You feel good burning an M3, but who's car is really the nicer one?

-Why don't you just buy a M5 and get the best of every world? Or a new 5.45 6speed for tht matter?

Re: Any regrets?

??? I am sensing a little hostility here!! Always a sense of disconnectedness between the coupe and sedan owners. Why? A sense of unity, please. Thank you.
No need for degrading comments.

Woopz. I don't mean to offend any Gsedan drivers, but do enjoy my thoroughly biased prose.

Re: Any regrets?

No harm done. Just wish us G owners have more unity among ourselves so that we won't be taken as lesser substitue of other cars. As such unity is often demonstrated among Mercedes owners particularly, as where I came from, regardless Mercedes is POS.

Re: Any regrets?

I do agree Merc has gone to waste of late, however the previous CLK55, and the SL series are still works of art. I truly have no problem being nice to sedan owners, but please do respect my opinion on Gsedans. I admit I still wave and talk to G enthusiasts whenever I get the chance to.
