skunk2 vs motordyne

Is there much of a difference between the skunk2 and the motordyne spacers? I know plenty of people have been statisfied with their motordyne spacers but I have not heard anything about skunk2 spacers. Also will my CAI still fit if I install a spacer?

I know the MD has been proven time and time. I would stick with that one until I see another dyno on the same car, same day/conditions.

The only thing that concerns me about the spacers from my research is that the Motordyne has a copper insulator and they say that if it snows in your region to use this one. Does the Skunk 2 spacer come with that option and if so or not why is that needed?

That's part of the iso-thermal optional kit. Does the Skunk even offer those parts?

No but the Skunk is made of a resin/plastic material. The thing about the Skunk is the sizes they sell. I've never seen a dyno sheet using the sizes they offer. They are always thicker than the ones already available from motordyne (which has tons of dyno info). But they are cheaper. I wonder how much to buy and have a machine shop cut one down to one of the more popular sizes? (did I just say that?)

Because it never stays the same afterwards especially when dealing with heat.

Seems like it's possible? The spacer is a phenolic type plastic right?

+1 heres a good example...take a thick plastic ring (ie a soda cap) cut it in half and then heat it up a little bit. What do you get?
