skunk2 vs motordyne
I thought the MD is "angled" helping balance running rich in the front cylinders. The Skunk is not angled thus running a little richer than optimal. That's the info I've picked up. I sitll have yet to see a Skunk dyno either.
I wouldn't want plastic because it tends not to seal very well when placed between metal surfaces.
And trust me on this, don't buy into the notion of these manifold "cooling" devices. I've run my G on the track multiple times with a hot and cold motor and intake manifold. There is no measurable difference in ET or MPH, if anything, the car actually runs quicker on a 2nd or 3rd hot lap.

I've run my Skunk2 spacer for well over a year now with no sealing probs; just use hi-temp rtv like you're supposed to. +1 on the copper iso coolers being BS; I don't have one and my thermometer read 2 freaking degrees yesterday morning, and she ran like the champ she is. CAI fits fine, actually gives more clearance around the AC lines. Also no probs running lean, so I think the angled spacers are a bit of BS too...I could see those being more prone to air leaks since the bolts won't sit flush on the plenum cover once it's installed.

I'm another Skunk2 user and have had no problems except for the fact that the fitting on my Injen CAI rubs against the hood. I am planning to shave the fitting down a little bit to solve the problem.
As for performance, I don't really think it does anything...gas mileage did decrease slightly. More air = more fuel?
