Side swiped

Well my day was ruined yesterday when my 3 month old G-baby got side swiped. Apparently some people do not like to be passed legaly, for after I did this crazy b**** and her trailer trash mother passed me @ 80 then dropped on the brakes (to below the psoted limit)and evry time I changed lanes she would do the same to block me, I then was passing her(I was now in the passing lane )when she felt the need to force me into oncoming traffic, I could only go so far and then slam she side swiped me(from the passenger rear door handle to the gas door and down the quarter panel to the whell which was marred. We puul over and they both jump out and yell at me that they have a kid in the car and what the f**** am I doing!, they called the cops and proceed to get back in there car with the windows closed, baby in the back and both light up cigarettes(i almost freaked, that poor child doesn't need that!). So the cop pulls up, I stay patient knowing how this type will act with the cop and watch herstart yelling at him, he tells her to get back inthe car and then asks me ??'s. He says he will not claim fault as he did not witness the event! But clearly stated that I have a right to pass someone and that it is not up to her to stop people from doing so.... I am so pissed, thanks for letting me vent!!!!!!

I don't want to play devil's advocate, but you didn't do anything to provoke the situation at all? That is madness. Sorry man...

That sucks. Cops can be real d*ckheads at times. I got hit by a drunk driver on the highway and he flipped his truck over. There were beer cans all over the road and in his truck from an open container. I tried pointing it out to them but they said it isn't illegal for someone to have beer in the front seat of their car. Thank God I had a digital camera in my car. Took some pics of the road the inside of his truck and my car. That held him responsible.

she has insurance, so now I will fightit out with them, as for my part, if passing in the passing lane is illegal, then I was in the wrong, otherwise, her trying to force me into oncoming traffic, while I am already in a lane and 1/2 way past her sound like attempted homicide(yes that is extreme and a stretch, but there was plenty of oncoming traffic). $1500 in damage, Car is Lakeshore slate, I am concerned about the color match when repaired!!!!!!

Damn. That's a really bad day. I feel for you. I would have probably just slowed way down until she was out of sight. Or took took off 'til I was out of sight.

After she passed me she dropped to 40 in a 50, I could not slow down to much more than that!!! I drive around 45K per year, so I run into alot of idiots, once in a while myself included, and I normally just don't react and in this case I really didn't react and maybe I should have just let the 280HP rip and blow by the cobalt instead of obeying the law!

hey you're safe and no one got hurt. they could have been crazy and pulled a gun on you. If the officer did not see the accident he can not pass judgment. Sorry to hear about your ride...good luck.
