Remote start with Intelligent key - school me

Well, I had the starter installed yesterday. The tech asked "You want me to use the factory fob?" I was like "Hell, yeah!". Press "LOCK" twice in three seconds the she starts, runs for 24 minutes with the parking lights on. Press twice again and she's off. Range is fine, and no extra fobs! WOOT!
Now... how long do the Intelligent key fob batteries last??

I installed a 2-way Ungo system on my 6MT back when I first got it. I thought this thread was about the intelli key which is not the same as what we have.
Or can you still use the DEI immobilizer by-pass with it?

That is what I was talking about in post #4.

Now that it's been a couple of weeks I can say that the I-key fob range pretty much sucks. It didn't start last night from inside a small restaurant. You pretty much have to be within ~100' and line-of-sight. The wife sez she has to go to a front office near the parking lot for it to work; her office is on the side of the building about ~200 feet from the lot. I'm probably going to have a regular transmitter added on the next time it goes in for service.
