Or tell them you will notify corporate and try to get it done under warranty. If it only expired in October, they may budge seeing as you can always say you will call the the National Highway Safety....whatever it is! This is their problem and parts like that shouldn't just go bad!

I had the same issue, but was covered under warranty. My service reports shows that they replaced the "module assy-anti skid 47850-AC700". You may want to see whether or not you can order the part elsewhere and install yourself.

By the way, I don't believe that they can hold your car either. If they refuse to return it, tell them to make a few payments for you while they're at it.

Well they're holding my car because the tech said that I would do more damage to the car if the car is in it's fail-safe mode. I'm not sure what that means as the car feels just like normal...but then again, I haven't been pushing the car real hard, nor do I push it real hard (won't be doing that until all the layers of ice covering the roads are gone!).

And I don't know if Canada has any sort of National Highway Safety. How would I contact someone at the Corporate office?

Here's a link to the Infiniti Canada "Contact us" page:

http://www.infiniti.ca/en/general/fo...ontact_us.html

Your owner's manual should have contact numbers in there as well.

The only way they can keep your car is if it's unsafe to drive (could pose a problems to others on the road). I believe you can still tow it away.

Just incase you don't have your Warranty book, here it is:

http://www.infiniti.ca/en/general/ow...p/pdf/2003.pdf

tell them you want a used part. I never post about selling parts but.. I would probably be able to help you. Since it seems you are in need. My name is Derick and I work at a junkyard. Let me know. your cost from me wont be anywhere near $3200.

I agree with previous post-have it towed away from dealership. They cannot keep it and they cannot insist on having repair done by them.
