All I have is a HKS muffler and a Nismo CAI. Can anyone of those cause the problem?

Sounds like our 2000 Maxima when the coil packs needed replacing. When the coil packs go, the idle surges and dies and it idles like crap! Cost around $1000 to have all 6 coil packs replaced.

Well that's the thing. When I got in my car today I looked at the idle and it was still. The needle is not jumping around. It looks normal. I still feel like the car is shaking but very little. Nothing unbearable. Also I feel the steering wheel vibrating lightly also.

Why?

The fuel hose recall was because the filler hose could crack and leak over time causing a fire.

I am 99.9% sure it's not a dirty fuel filter, I changed mine when I put in my larger pump and it's huge. After ~45k mine was still perfect.

If your engine sounds strong but it feels weak then you need to have you transmission checked. You did say that it shakes. To me that sounds like the torq converter is going bad. Now I am assuming you feel the shaking after you put it in gear and start to move?

There are many causes and a vacuum leak, mentioned above, is a possibility. With so many possibilities it would pay to get a good diagnosis before replacing expensive parts. Good luck.
