And then there are 20's!

So worth it if you do the right suspension.

There's more to it than that. Bigger wheels with thinner tires will have a stiffer sidewall which is better for cornering fast. Bigger, wider rims will have a greater contact patch. It is true though that you do give up ride quality when you go big. I just put 19" wheels on my car and it's a bit of a rougher ride, but well worth it. There are often compromises with modding your car.

And yeah 19s look way better.

19's are the perfect size for our cars IMO

Yeah, 19s will be rougher w/ the shorter sidewall but it also depends what tires you get. As far as performance, I think it's a mixed bag. Some say no difference, some say better, some say worse. I'd say no difference or worse.

It all depends on what you are looking for. If you want bling, go with the 19's or 20's. If you want possibly better performance and ride, go with the 18's. I had a thread about this last fall. I am torn between some 19" Racing Harts and 18" Volks. After doing some research and getting lots of input, it looks like the heavier 19" wheels could slightly affect my acceleration and fuel economy. The 18" wheels, which are actually lighter than my 17" stock wheels should possibly improve acceleration while definitely helping the handling and braking departments.

The factory goes with 19" wheels on the coupe and they seem to ride nicely, so maybe a lightweight 19" wheel would be the way to go. You'd have the bling plus good performance. I am currently wrestling with the same problem. Let us know what you get.

I say if you're going aftermarket, only worth it if you go with 19's or bigger....18's IMHO just don't look that much better (too much rubber).

If you don't do a staggered setup and go w/ 19's, I recommend 245/40/19 tires (they give you more sidewall rubber & protection and also help fill the fender more....you can also still drop your car w/ this setup if you wanted to)....if you go w/ the 245/35/19's, you'll have a bigger fender gap and will most definitely end up wanting to drop your car.

Good luck!
