Why, no cover wall inside rear wheel fender?

Anyone knows if this is standard for all sedans that doesn't have rear wheel inside fender wall? I think this is where all the road noise come in the most.

What do you mean by "real wheel"?

What is the rear wheel inside fender wall? Are you talking about sound insulation in the rear fender? The Goodyears seem to be a little more noisy as compared to the Bridgestones.. perhaps that has something to do with it (depending on what you have)

I looked at my car, nothing looks out of place in the wheel well area, not sure what he's talking about either!

pretty sure he's talking about how the inside of the front wheel well has a nice plastic "housing", but the rear has nothing as nice... pretty much just bare metal and such. I think that's the way most cars are actually.

maximafia,
That's exactly what I'm talking about. On both of my bmw and mercedes have the front and reat plastic cover inside, even my 97 prelude and the old 95 300zx turbo have that. Don't know why the G35 would not have it. I would of think that could have make the cabin a little bit quieter.

hmmm... I dunno if that would make it much quieter (perhaps a little), but it would certainly look better. You know, I recall that on my '99 Maxima, the rear wheel wells didn't have the plastic housing, but the entire thing was coated with a thick, coarse black paint so it looked uniform. Oh well, you take a little bad with all the good.

You could also do what this guy on freshalloy did. I'm gonna do this next spring, since I don't feel like freezing my *** off.
