Ok guys, I can't get anyone at infiniti on the phone so I want to ask you all. I was driving this morning on the way to work in 'D". I stoped at a stop sign and hit about 20mph then all my car did is REV like in neutral. I went to manu-matic ands it was shifting fine. I did eventually put it back in drive and it seemed ok....Any Ideas?????

 

Sounds like your throttle body got stuck. Have you checked it?

 

Try checking the tranny fluid.

 

fluid was flushed no more than 1500 miles ago and its fine. I checked the throttle body is it looks ok. I'm still trying to get to infiniti. They lost power to the whole strip where they are located and they have no phone lines. This stinks!

Did I mention I'm supposed to dyno tomorrow!

 

Don't know if it helps, but the other day I was cruizin a back road, came over a knoll and there was a school bus and 3-4 cars stopped behind it. I hannered on the brakes and easily stopped in time, the interesting/possibly relevant factor is when I went to go forward afterthe bus started moving my car dis as you described, lots of rev and no power going to the wheels(like I was in nuetral, but I was in drive) a couple of seconds later just like normal. It did freak me out for a couple of seconds. Maybe a safety mode type of a thing?????

 

Might have been a momentary glitch in the software.

 

I think you meant valve body.
