Re: !!!!SURVEY!!! look inside

Ok here in America, 98% of the population would not know what a Skyline is. Putting a Nissan badge on our car would lower the prestige that the Infiniti name carries. It would also pitt the Skyline against the Altima 3.5 and the Max. Sales would be lost due to internal competition. Would you rather own a Lexus ES or a Toyota Camary, a Lexus LS or a Toyota Avalon, an Acura TSX or a Japanese Accord? Here in the US, I will take the Infiniti G35. In Japan, I want a Nissan Skyline. I personally like the Infiniti badging and don't want to rebadge. The Infiniti's is cool and adds that touch of class I just don't feel with Nissan's. JMO. To each his own.

Re: !!!!SURVEY!!! look inside

I've been contemplating changing to skyline, etc. badges but I keep deciding no in the end due to similar reasons. I think the average schmoe would place more prominence on seeing "infiniti" logos rather than Nissan. I actually have met a decent amount of people who didn't realize Infiniti is made by Nissan. Kind of add a mysterious element to owning my G.

You'd be surprised how many people don't know Infiniti is built by Nissan, I have people asking me all the time who makes the Infiniti.

Re: !!!!SURVEY!!! look inside

The only thing that I changed about mine was putting the 350GT badge on mine, that's not bad. Is it?

Ferrari does in the yellow box
Range Rover does in the green oval
Lotus does in the green and yellow circle

Sorry, but you asked. BTW, I don't like the Nissan emblem either. The Infiniti logo is cool, especially when I found out that it is a representation of Mount Fugi. That gives it more meaning than just being artistic.

Too bad its not called the Infiniti Skyline Coupe hehe I would love that. As far why we have infinitis, lexus, auras here is because people in the USA/Canada are somewhat ignorant, they believe that if its a lexus its much better than toyota when in the end its the exact same thing. Those brand names have been made specifically for the americans who like to pay more for fancy names.

Look on Japanese Skyline 350GT sites and they're all changing their badges to Infiniti logos. Go figure!

lol GIlovemycar... it's not bad as long as you like it.

personally, i like the infiniti badges. otherwise, i would have gotten an altima since it's the same car (lol KIDDING). i didn't buy the car for its name sake, but infiniti does add a luxury sound to it. however, if i was really into the import tuner thing, then i might consider nissan badges.

it's still a great car.

Re: !!!!SURVEY!!! look inside

I thought about putting the Skyline and 350 badges on my ride, but not the Nissan logo. I saw a coupe w/ the Nissan and Skyline badges, and I really didn't like it. JMO. Besides, to me, the Infiniti logo is a little more classy.

It resembles a long stretch of highway tapering off just over the horizon. How cool is that?!

Still, the uniqueness of having a Nissan badge on your ride may be worthwhile to some. Whatever floats your boat...

I remember putting BMW logos on my VW Jetta back in college for fun. I wanted to make my plate FULDJA (Fooled Ya), but I lacked the funds. Funny how the whole idea seems pretty lame now...sigh...
