Just bought a G35 Sedan. Is it just me, or are the seats super uncomfortable? I have the leather and my butt and back hurt every time I get in, and evn worse after driving for 15 minutes or more. Anyone out there had this problem?

Re: Front Seats
This seems to be a common problem and there is a TSB out there I think relating to the seat controls. I had the same thing happen when I bought mine and my back hurt for a month. I thought it was me, but when I saw other posts on the subject, I knew otherwise. However, I did get used to the seats within a couple of months and have not had any problems since.

Re: Front Seats
So what adjustments did you make? I haven't used the lumbar yet. Did that help?

Re: Front Seats
It took some playing around with the lumbar and also the height and tilt switches to find a position that felt good.

Re: Front Seats
They seem pretty comfortable to me... but if you want real comfort you probably should have got an I35 or ES300.. after all this car is basically a sport car with 4 doors

No problems with my seats. Although I do move my wallet up in my pcoket. You should have test drove the car longer than 10 minutes.

Re: Front Seats
They’re comfy to me. We drove from Phx to LA a few months ago and neither of us had any real complaints. But each person is different. If you have the heated seats you may want to try turning them on. If my back’s hurting after work that seems to help. Hopefully you can find a position that’s comfortable for you!

I have had my G for a month and a half now, and haven't found the seats uncomfortable at all, I agree with the heated seats helping an aching back though, works on the hip too! I have always had the wallet problem, in every car or truck I've owned, these seats are the best I've had!

Re: Front Seats
Some people have had issues with the seats, it seems to be OK for some, but not for others.
I have a Coupe which is supposed to be a more comfortable seat than the Sedan, according other posts. I think the seats in the Coupe are just OK - they have great lateral support, but are not really that comfortable in my opinion. I find something with the seat back is not that comfortable, the lumbar adj. hits me in the wrong place rendering it useless, and the head rests are to far forward for me (I've noticed adjustable headrests are now available from Grubbs Infiniti).
When ever I get into my BMW 540 I am amazed at how much more comfortable the seat is than in the G. And my BMW has only the standard seats - BMW also offers optional comfort seats (which are supposed to be the most comfortable in the business) and sport seats.
So in my opinion the seats in the G's could use a lot of improvement. And of course, the Coupe absolutely must be given full power seats and memory, like in the Sedan (the lack of this is the #1 complaint with Coupe owners).
