Help removing console

ANyone know how to remove the wood panels? i want to get a look inside the gear shift n stuff. I wana see wtf is rattleing in there. Everytime i break medium-hard i hear creaking noise. Like two plastic rubbing agianst each other. Also when i accelerate fast like when the car jerk forward, the dash sounds like plastic cracking.

I hoping i could cushen it somehow with cushon tape or something if i could look inside and see what is going on.

anyhelp is very much appreciated.

If I remember right you just lift up on the bottom, it snaps into place. It has been a good year since I worked on an 06.

Should be the same as the aluminum trim. See this DIY:

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/99632-pac-aai-nis2-ipod-adapter-installation-guide-05-dash-removal.html

It is what I used when I installed my USA-Spec.

Before you tear into it, be sure to get some felt with tape on one side. I used it to eliminate some rattles in my center consol in the area it sounds like you are referring to.
