Yaw control?

I was looking around for info but can't find much here (3 letter searches don't work, so no yaw or VDC). What are the limits for the yaw control? My car puts the brakes on often when I am turning. When I first did the suspension I thought it was the tire rubbing and raised it up but now I figured out it is the VDC. Is it possible to reprogram it for higher G's? I guess I should just get the vdc memory switch, turn it off and be over it...

Depends on the radius and banking

as far as I know you cant completely disable the vdc ever, even after "turning it off". I have heard that using slightly larger tires in the back confuses it and doesn't allow the vdc to work so you might think about that. Also yaw control shouldn't be an issue. does the vdc even handle yaw? I thought only the GT-R and the EVO (for japanese cars) had systems intelligent enough to handle yaw.

That doesnt' work. As my coupe wheels/tires are staggered and the VDC works just fine.

I think even if you push the VDC button, some of the traction control still operates. I turned mine off. It would allows a burnout but once the car started going sideways, I could see the slip light flash.

I think you can disconnect the yaw sensor. It's supposed to be under the center console somewhere.

Or ttrank says you can pull the abs fuse to compeltely disable the systems. You might lose your rear brake light function though.

Cool, good info, thanks Jeff

I haven't turned hard enough to get it to do it with the VDC off so maybe the yaw control is disabled enough, it would be cool if it could be tuned, then I could just keep my foot on the gas and let the car do the braking for me.

I am curious of at what G's the yaw kicks in, the car is not sliding when it kicks in, I just must be exceeding some G threshold.
