I have about a 3 foot crack on my windshield from a rock chip and cold temperatures and was wondering if anyone had a guess of what it will cost me to replace this.

Also interesting how the windshield cracked on my other car, but not on my G. Do you think that such trivia as trajectory or velocity might have contributed to either?

I'm on my 3rd one in 18 months. All of them were free from my insurance.

From what I understand it is state law for insurance in AZ to replace the windshield for free.

Nope, you have to buy the glass coverage for a free replacement. I think it works out to like $50 a year on my car. I get at least one w/s a year so it's a deal.

I had a Ford F150 Pickup truck that in the 3 years I had it, I went through 3 windshields. The last 1 was from what I think was a bullet or something that had a lot of momentum behind it since it almost went through completely but the inner layer didn't go completely. I had pices in the back seat though!!
